The RAMA Project is an initiative to create new branches of ministry among Latino young adults and congregational clergy connections across five strategic locations along the Texas-Mexico Border: El Paso, Laredo, Edinburg, McAllen, and Brownsville/Harlingen. This project seeks to fortify these vital relationships within the church community. This project consists of four main components: 1) Self-Understanding and Identity Exploration: Participants will reflect on their religious and cultural backgrounds and explore how these attributes affect their relationships with each other and their service to their communities. 2) Building Bridges of Understanding: Participants will explore and address mutual perceptions through facilitated discussions, fostering a culture of open communication and understanding. 3) Collaborative Ministry Design and Implementation: Grounded in mutual goals, cohorts will design and implement ministry initiatives that strengthen community bonds and promote congregational growth. 4) Resource Development and Dissemination: The RAMA Project website will develop and share various resources, such as case studies and curricula, supporting congregational communities across North America. The RAMA Project responds to contemporary challenges, aiming to create thriving and inclusive church communities along the Texas-Mexico Border and beyond.
