As a young nonprofit, Oikos recognizes the importance of developing a purpose- and impact-driven organizational culture that fosters an environment for staff to thrive and also compels board members to be enthusiastic ambassadors for Oikos. We called upon the services of Dr. Nancy Sayer of Leadership Evolvement Institute to serve as our People & Culture Consultant (PaCC), responsible for bringing high-level strategic capability to the culture and talent development, serving as a thought partner with Dr. Sidney Williams (Interim President and Board Chair) and Dr. Reggie Blount (Executive Director). Dr. Sayer's role includes the following: 1) Being the standard bearer for the inclusion and practice of the Oikos Culture Model across the Oikos Institute; 2) Assessing the people implications of strategic initiatives and actively participating with the Executive Team and Oikos Board in determining where best to invest across the organization; 3) Reporting directly to the Executive Director and serving as a member of the personnel committee of the board; and 4) Bringing a vision for organization-wide people and culture strategy and enthusiasm for collaborating with the Executive Team to problem-solve across the organization.
